A number of our fixed income people are seriously hurt financially because of the present property taxes. These are some things that you can do to help them. See the link to the Luke Macias video.
The first part of the video addresses the George Soros funded DAs. The second part addresses Representative Carrie Isaac's address to the House and authoring of the House Bill 1325.

Also Following this property tax information is a report on  CCDF's recent victory in their attempts to recall Soro's funded DA in Nueces County.

Elimination of Property Tax

Issue:  Too many Property owners are being taxed out of their homes in Texas. The State of Texas has a surplus of over 30 billion dollars of excess revenue.  We have been overtaxed. We must return the money to taxpayers by buying down and eventually eliminating the school maintenance and operation portion of the property tax. If the state gives back the revenue to local school taxes they buy it down so that it brings down the cost of the property tax.

Action:  Support Texas HB 1325 Relating to the allocation and deposit of certain surplus state revenue to the property tax relief fund for use in reducing school district maintenance and operations ad valorem taxes.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This week, Citizens Defending Freedom is glad to announce another court victory against a George Soros-aligned District Attorney.

As you may recall, our State Director Colby Wiltse filed a lawsuit against Nueces County District Attorney Mark Gonzalez, who is part of a George Soros-funded group of “progressive” prosecutors, for dereliction of duty along with other charges.

Gonzalez works side-by-side with other progressive District Attorneys, including Alvin Bragg in New York, who is responsible for the disgusting political persecution of President Donald Trump.

These people are determined to turn our justice system into a circus that fails to prosecute real crimes, while aggressively targeting its political opponents.

We’re putting a stop to it.

After Mark Gonzalez was ordered to a jury trial to answer to charges of dereliction of duty, he filed a motion to dismiss our lawsuit.

This week, he lost. His motion to dismiss was DENIED.

That means that the jury trial will proceed, and we are one step closer to removing this radical District Attorney from office.

Does the Church have a responsibility to play a role in American society including politics?  Or should it withdraw from public proclamations and endorsements of issues affecting daily life?  This question has proved to be a difficult one to answer.  We know that Jesus wanted us to interact with those around us and to be salt and light to the world.  Jesus instructed His followers to be salt and light in their culture (Matt. 5:13-16). Jesus also commanded us to “make disciples of all nations,… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”  (Matt. 28:19-20) Therefore we should speak out on issues of the day, teaching what is Biblically right and pointing out the sinfullness of activities that violate God’s Law.  Silence in the face of evil is not an option. While we still live in a country where we have the opportunity to address these evils, we should take full advantage. There are many ways to obey Jesus’ commands regarding this, but in particular, consider these:  register to vote and encourage others to do the same, consider His values when voting, and pray for our nation and for the election of Godly leaders.

We should have an impact on the culture in which we find ourselves.  However, some believers would draw a line at politics.  Yet, here in America, we have the unique opportunity to choose who will govern us.  We also have the freedom to speak out on issues that affect our daily lives.  In order to do so, we need to be informed.flag

The “Family Research Council” (FRC), has made available, through their “Watchmen on the Wall” site, an excellent program to get your church involved in participating in the election process, being informed on candidates and issues, and having a Biblical impact on their local culture.  The Program encourages forming a Cultural Impact Team (CIT) that will inform the congregation, pertaining to the previously mentioned goals.  The cost expended is nominal, entailing the purchase of start-up materials.  There are follow-up materials that can be purchased if that is your choice.  This is a non-sectarian program and all Churches are welcome.

We, as Christians, should be leading and guiding the culture, not following it.

It's impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible. - George Washington
The people in general ought to have regard to the moral character of those whom they invest with authority either in the legislative, executive, or judicial branches. -John Witherspoon
It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here. -Patrick Henry
God will bless or curse this nation according to the course Christians take in politics. -Charles Finney
